Name of Founder – St. Clare of Assisi (1394 – 1253)

Charism – Cloistered contemplative nuns.

Motto – Ego vos semper custodiam. – “I will always take care of you.”
(Words of Our Lord to St. Clare when community was threatened by Saracen invaders.)

Ministry – Dedicated to contemplative prayer and the Divine Office, living in joyous penance, poverty and simplicity and in Papal Enclosure.

Unique aspect of community – Papal enclosure and Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
